Reading a book

I have spent much of today reading a book called "The Pagan Christ". It would seem that the bible is in fact a rewrite of many much older Egyptian Myths based on Horus, Osiris and Isis.

Christianity was a pagan religion before the third century C.E. and became historicized at that time and many books were burned to protect this lie.

If you have a chance you should read it.

Happy Birthday wishes

It's my friend Katherine's Birthday and she has turned 50. My turn is coming up for the big 5-0 in August. But for now I can gloat and say she's old and I'm still young.
;)

Happy Birthday Katherine!

I'm sorry I can't be there ... I hurt my lower back today dusting of all the foolish things. I'm in some discomfort to say the least and I'm heading to the bed to rest right after I write this note.

New Pet Rat

My lady, Carline, has been trying to talk me into getting a pet this year. My main objection was the care needed and the mess a pet causes. She finally succeeded with her quest a couple weeks ago and we now have a rat. Rats don’t cause a lot of mess other than in their cage and this one doesn'’t keep you up all night either. He just goes to bed with the boys and sleeps all night in his hammock.

He'’s really very personable too. I'’m surprised by his nature. I would have thought him to be more like a gerbil or hamster, but no. He is very charming and I'’m not one to praise pets by far. His name is Finneaghan.

Welcome to my Blog

Greetings and merry meet.

Our Coven of the Sacred Kiln is about three years old and has 6 members including myself. We lead a study group called Raku in Nepean that is more of an introduction to Wicca for those not sure of their path and still searching or those that have been on the path as a solitary for a while and are searching for community.

Speaking of Community, we have another site called SacredKiln.org, which is new, and a pagan community site. Membership is free and we encourage you to join and help our community grow.

I've recently had surgery on my neck to correct a problem with a disc at C6-7 in January. As a result, my neck is much better, but I've lost my voice. The surgeon claims that the damage was caused in the surgical procedure by compression or stretching the vocal cord nerve. This may or may not be permanent, but it will take months to tell.
