The evening of the day this blog was posted the police were at my door. Apparently one of the trainers at Greco claimed that I assaulted her by pushing her up against the wall (not true). They wanted my side of the story, even though they had already read my blog.
When all was said and done, I have to say Greco's has been very quiet the last few days. They were informed by the police that there is indeed a bylaw for noise or disturbing the peace, that doesn't just cover over night, that is in effect 24/7.
I want to thank Greco lean & fit for keeping the peace and quiet in our neighbourhood, but I can't since they've started blowing whistles at 07:30 on Saturday morning.

Greco lean+fit is loud and obnoxious
Greco is located just over the fence of our backyard. They are one of the noisiest neighbours we have. They face away from us but their back door to the workout area is right over the fence facing us. They play very loud music, yelling continuously and blowing whistles.
They've been a thorn in our ear for years but last night was the worst. Our kids were in bed (it was almost 9pm) and Carline and I were trying to watch television before turning in for the night. They were louder than ever as they had the back door open and the music was just thumping in our house along with the lifeguard whistle and the shouting. We couldn't hear a thing from our T.V. They had all of their fitness clients running circles around their building and turned the music up louder so they could hear it as they ran. Of course they're trying to run a business, but it's this man's opinion that you have to be considerate of your neighbours too. But alas they could care less if they were disturbing four families outside their doors.
I shouted from my back yard asking them to at least close their door but they just ignored me. So, anger getting the better of me, I walked over and shut it myself, much to their dislike. A shouting match followed which almost led to a physical confrontation. In the end they finally closed the doors but I doubt we've heard the last from them.
I have heard that Greco preaches consideration and respect to their younger students and I admire this from teachers, but I think one should practice what you preach or it's meaningless posturing.

The Perfect Cup
I'm a home coffee roaster and today I think I roasted my perfect cup of coffee.
A Dark Roast blend consisting of one part Ethiopian, one part Guatemalan and one part Bolivian.
It's a smooth but bold cup with a nice aroma and flavour and just a hint of chocolate. Very low on the acidic level so it has little bite.
I roast in an iRoast2 coffee roaster at a temp of 450 F. for 5 minutes in the first stage and then 400 F. for 5 minutes 10 seconds in the second stage and finally 430 F. for 1 minute and 10 seconds in the third stage. The beans get to just a touch of oil and shine before the cool down cycle starts.
